The editorial challenge of the Pirelli Family Day is specific to the client: a family corporate event for an industrial brand in the automotive sector has to respond simultaneously to two readings. That of the adult employee, who wants to show their family the Pirelli universe they are part of professionally — Formula 1, racing tyres, Italian technical heritage. And that of the six-year-old child, who needs attractions, entertainment, a snack, and an afternoon where they are not bored for five minutes.
The practical difficulty lies in avoiding the two usual drifts of the format. The first is building an event that is too child-focused, emptying the brand of content and making the employee feel they have brought their family to a sponsored birthday party. The second is building an event that is too corporate — full of management speeches and institutional panels — that bores the child and turns the day into a social obligation for the employee's partner. Neither option meets the client's objective: having the employee return to the factory on Monday with their family speaking positively about Pirelli.
